Class programs


Our junior classes are held during Victorian public school terms on Saturdays and Wednesdays while the senior classes are held almost year around. Please see the details below of our age appropriate programs and when they are held.


Little Legends  (6 to 10 years)
Little Legends combine Judo elements with fitness and games to provide a fun learning environment. The program promotes self confidence, fitness and improved co-ordination. Through the program students will learn basic throwing and wrestling techniques, including how to fall and roll safely.


Session times:  Saturdays 1pm to 2pm





Bushi  (11 to 15 years)
Bushi are taught fundamental self defence skills in a non-competitive but physically active and non-aggressive way. Through the program students will learn techniques and concepts that will enable them to manage threatening environments and protect their personal safety.


Session times:  Saturdays 2pm to 3.30pm

                         Wednesdays 7pm to 8.30pm




Samurai  (16+ years)
Box Hill Jiu Jitsu Senior classes offer students a complete self defence program.
The program promotes the use of mind and body together to maximise control and technique efficiency.


Through the program students will learn self defence techniques against different types of physical and weapons attacks. Although the program teaches a fighting system that is based on traditional and realistically tested techniques, emphasis is placed on self discipline and students are educated in the responsible use of the skills and knowledge they acquire.


Session times:  Saturdays 3pm to 5pm
                         Wednesdays 7pm to 9pm
